Set in the leafy heart of Aberystwyth, this bachelor pad was designed as a true reflection of its owner; effortless, intelligent, and quietly confident.

A long-time friend of Hannah’s, this project felt deeply personal from the outset. The brief wasn’t about trends or statements for the sake of it; it was about creating a space that felt instinctive and authentic to him. A home that worked hard during the week, yet softened into something calm and grounding by evening.

Layered neutrals, tactile fabrics and natural finishes anchor the space, with subtle nods to the coastal landscape just beyond the trees. Clean architectural lines keep things refined and uncluttered, while carefully chosen vintage pieces add character and history. Every element was considered, from the tailored joinery to the understated lighting — creating a home that feels both composed and completely lived-in.

This wasn’t about designing a “bachelor pad” in the traditional sense. It was about crafting a sanctuary, masculine without being heavy, minimal without feeling stark.
